Of course, we also offer you a - albeit reduced - course programme for the lecture-free period of the winter semester in the period 10th of February until 16th of April 2025, which will be successively activated within the different sports/areas and will be bookable from 20th of January 2025 onwards - further information will follow (FAQ)
Sports classes at the University Sports Center in Munich

The University Sports Center (ZHS) offers classes in team sports, climbing, fitness and health, martial arts, dance, new and intramural activities, gymnastics and track and field, and water and winter sports. With approximately 600 classes each semester, we have a diverse program for every target group. Besides the large selection of activities, ZHS makes it possible for students to participate in national and international university championships. Many top athletes’ careers started with student competitions. Because of their numerous national and international successes, ZHS plays a leading role in Germany.
Who is entitled to participate?
Eligible to participate in university sports are the members according to Art. 17 (1) BayHSchG of the state universities in Munich, Freising and Landshut as well as of the non-state universities and employees of the authorities or institutions within the remit of the Central University Sports Office Munich who are directly involved in university education. Participation does not apply to members of higher education institutions funded by the federal government.
Students at other universities (including those abroad) are also entitled to admission, provided that their main place of residence is Munich or they can prove that they are staying in Munich for study purposes.
Relatives of the above-mentioned persons are also eligible, but must provide proof (e.g. joint tenancy agreement or certificate of registration).
Members of the booster club of the ZHS are eligible to attend. Former students have the opportunity to join the booster club. You can find more information here.

What classes are for which sportive target group?
The sports program is for everyone, regardless of ability. In order to offer a wide variety, classes are divided up based on ability.
Class A: for beginners who want to try out the sport.
Class F: for students at an intermediate level who already know the basics and can improve from there.
Class L: for advanced students with special training methods and a foundation for participating in student competitions.
In-depth courses: are not beginner courses and should only be booked with previous knowledge from A- or F-courses.
Signing up for a course - general information
The prerequisite for taking part in courses is the ZHS-Card with valid semester entitlement (Basic Ticket).
Please inform yourself BEFORE booking on our website about the requirements and the procedure for obtaining the ZHS Card.
The courses at the TUM Campus in the Olympic Park for the semester break winter will appear at a later date.
