The TUM has now officially taken over both the new bridge and the new parking lot, with the following impacts for all users of the TUM Campus in Olympic Park:
1. New Bridge
Starting Monday, October 7, 2024, we will open the bridge for general public traffic. This will provide the new building with a new ground-level access point from Kusocinskidamm. With the opening of the bridge, bicycle parking spaces on the bridge will also become available. Please note that the bicycle parking spaces under the new canopy on the east side of the new building will only be usable with the official handover of the third construction phase. Until then, please continue to use the parking spaces around the building in addition to the bridge, or leave your bike on the dam in front of the bridge. The currently provisional lighting on the bridge will also be changed accordingly.
2. New Parking Lot
Starting Monday, October 7, 2024, we will also open the new parking lot in the southeast of the TUM Campus in Olympic Park. We kindly ask you to keep the accessible parking spaces directly at the building free for person with the appropriate permits. Please note that with the opening of the new parking lot, we will declare the TUM Campus in Olympic Park as a car-free campus. Continuing to drive from the parking lot northward is strictly prohibited. Due to the limited parking spaces, we recommend using public transportation, bicycles, or walking to our campus.
3. New Access
Starting Monday, October 7, 2024, the official new access to the TUM Campus in Olympic Park by car will be possible exclusively from the Mittlerer Ring or the feeder lane to B304 towards Dachau. If you turn right from this exit lane towards the TUM Campus in Olympic Park, you will reach the new parking lot directly behind the tunnel – see here.
IMPORTANT: Access to the TUM Campus in Olympiapark via Connollystraße will no longer be possible starting October 7, 2024.
