Together, we make sport a competent and fair experience for all students and employees at universities in Munich and the region.

Our program includes ball sports and games, mountain and climbing sports, fitness and health sports, martial arts, dance, trend and leisure sports, gymnastics and athletics, water sports, and winter sports. With around 600 sports events per semester, there is a suitable course for every passion.

Our expertise is based on experience, knowledge, and our wide network in sports. We share our expertise with all interested people through our sports programs in general and also through specific workshops. In this way, we aim to support personal development and holistic education.

Train at our many sports facilities

Our home is the 34-hectare former training ground of the 1972 Olympic Games, which now shines again after the new construction of 19 new sports halls and rooms and the renovation of numerous outdoor facilities. Our sports programs also take place at other locations in the Munich area.

Dates

Find out about the current dates for the current semester here. Take a look at the largest range of sports on offer in the city and don't miss the booking start of your desired course. Bookings of the so called Basic-Ticket winter term 2024/25 will be starting from 1st of October 2024 onwards.

Ticket system

The basic ticket is required to participate in our sports program in the respective semester. It allows you to take advantage of numerous courses and activities. You will need separate tickets for specific courses, which you can book flexibly.

ZHS-Card

Proof of your bookings and tickets is provided via the course booking confirmation (digital or printout). Important: Special groups must identify themselves for the last time in the winter semester 24/25 using the validated ZHS Card.

Eligibility to participate

All current students and employees of the universities in Munich, Freising, Landshut, and Triesdorf, as well as their relatives, can participate in the Zentraler Hochschulsport. Our News

Prevention of sexualised violence

The ZHS collaborated with the department of Sport and Health Sciences in order to launch the initiative of ‘Prevention of sexualised violence in (university) sports’. The objective of this initiative is to inform and sensitise lecturers, students, trainers and instructors plus to de-tabooing this topic.

New climbing tower and bouldering facility for the TUM Campus at the Olympic Park
